GFX Raceway 2019

We are back for our 4th season! The team is planning to complete some track upgrades including a new larger pit area extension, drivers stand extension and an all new layout! The track will be smoothed with the annual compactor. We look forward to a great outdoor off-road racing season!

Practice

There will be 5 evening practices this year. Gates usually open around 4pm and close by 10pm, but check Facebook for timing that day.

Note: Any electric 1/8 vehicle or smaller is allowed.

Track Fees

$20 FLAT race fee.
$10 practice fee.

Kids 14 and under are 1/2 price.

Racing Schedule

Wednesday evenings starting May 29, 2019 until October 9, 2019.

• 4:00pm - Open practice (check Facebook of the race for exact times) practice starts after the track has been watered
• 7:00pm - Qualifying Starts
• 9:30pm - Mains begin (The goal is to be done around 10-10:30pm)

2019 Summer Championship Series Schedule

The Championship Series is a best 4 out of 6 race series scheduled on the weekend. Gates open at 7am, 9am registration & drivers meeting.

• Round 4 - Sunday, August 18
• Round 5 - Sunday, September 15
• Round 6 - Sunday, October 6

What to bring?

• Short Extension cord for charging
• Water/food
• Your favorite chair (note there are tables and chairs provided)

Please note there are NO BATHROOMS on-site since we're in the forest. Emergency only for going in the house. Tim Horton's, KFC, Second Cup etc. is 3min. / 3km away.

Tires

The track surface is outdoor hard packed clay/dirt and is covered by tarps between events. Many tires will perform but most prefer a super soft web tire (dirt webs/electrons) or a small pin (3Ds, DD). (tire wear is minimal)
